Best Of The Best | Harper’s Hut Shaved Ice

July 20st 2013 we had our grand opening at the Sand Springs stand. Within our first season we made the local paper 6 times: Harper’s Hut Donation, The Meltdown, Turn Sand Springs Pink, Best of the Best, Chillin’ & Grillin’, Best of the Best Tulsa.

This first season we gave back to several charities & organizations: Day Spring Villa, Tulsa Advocates for the Protection of Children, Jaxson, Hunger CROP Walk, Keith’s Ice Cold Lemonade & The Little Light House, Sand Springs High school, HillSpring Church. We had kids jumping rope, play hopscotch, and hula-hoop. It was never a dull day at H.H. Here are some of the most memorable days: Keith’s Lemonade Snow Cone, The Meltdown, Movie and a Sno Cone, snowball challenge, the brain freeze challenge.

When things were slow, we created videos to pass the time. Many of our fans asked us to ‘never stop’ making videos (Wink Wink). So yah, we passed the time casting employees in our under budget shoots: Jarrett Sabello, Our New Doorbell, Encouraging Our Cast Members, Bring Your Dog Day, Snow Cone Delivery. Never a dull moment at Harper’s Hut and the community made our first season one that will never be forgotten and in the end, we won Best of The Best. We want to thank Sand Springs for making our first season magical.
